How Not To Break Your iPhone In 2013
The Apple iPhone is quite a remarkable piece of technology. Aside from the obvious popularity and the calls it provides, the iPhone has been something of a cultural phenomenon. Just think: before 2007, the thing didn’t exist. Sure, it is basically just a mobile phone, but it has, single-handedly, changed the mobile phone market forever.
It introduced the general population to the ‘smartphone’; a new brand of cellular device which could be, as the title suggests, very clever. The technology in the iPhone is incredible, nobody can argue with that, but its functionality isn’t what is so impressive. It is the way the world has taken to the iPhone which is more remarkable. If you don’t own one, you will know someone who does. If you do not know what an iPhone is, what have you been doing for the past six years?
iPhone Problems and Solutions
So, do iPhones encounter problems? Just like most technology devices out there the answer is yes they do. Like any technological device, there are always issues; whether that is software-based, build-structure or quality, there will always be a few flaws which ruin the dream.
With the iPhone, the flaws are pretty simple. Firstly, Apple charges you handsomely for the privilege of owning one. So what you are effectively doing when you walk around town is advertising the fact you have around £400 in your pocket. After all, that is how thieves think.
Another big issue is the iPhone’s fragile design. All mobiles are fragile to a point, but the iPhone’s beautiful screen seems to be infuriating a lot of owners. Not because the colors are poor, or because the screen isn’t big enough, but because of the ease of which the screen either breaks or cracks.
The trouble is the iPhone is all about the screen. It is a touch screen mobile phone, so the screen is the main part of the phone; without it, you will not be able to access Angry Birds or your contacts. There is also the famous ‘jailbreak’ for the iPhone which is popular among some owners around the world, but if you are not careful you could end up breaking your precious phone by doing this, too. So what can you do?
Well, regarding jailbreaking, the best advice would be to leave the phone as how Apple made it. Not only does jailbreaking void the warranty, but it can, potentially, have adverse effects on the phone’s functionality.
Regarding the screen issue, a lot of people have cracked or broke their screen by having it in there jeans pocket and sitting down and putting too much pressure on the device. So if you do have a bag, or some form of jacket pocket where it is less likely to be broke, it would advisable to move it.
If that fails, then just make sure you look after your phone by buying it a secure case. There are hundreds of cases on the internet that will come with screen protectors, but if you really want to go that extra mile buy the slightly more expensive cases – as these will ensure your device is nice and snug but most of highly protected from possible screen breaks.
The final piece of advice would be to care for it. I would recommend the Apple care protection plan, with technical support and hardware repair, your iPhone will even be serviced for up to two years. Care is always important, after all, the iPhone is one of the most expensive pieces of technology in your life, so treat it well and it should treat you well, too.
